Swifts Arrive in Edinburgh

Sorry, you can't see them in the pic - They're too fast for me to capture "on film". I heard them yesterday but dismissed the idea. Today I saw half a dozen skimming the pond. Summer must have arrived! All the same we are forecast a groundfrost tonight so I'm busy moving seedtrays indoors overnight. Just maybe the swifts know something...

I've chalked up two hours at the plot and £10 on sundries. I've learnt (rather too late) that I should be recording a running total as I go along because otherwise I'll have to trawl through a year of my posts...

  1. I sure hope the Swifts are right and that summer is here...our weather was VERY cold yesterday and i want that lovely sun to come back and the nasty winds to go away...is it too much to ask for a nice day for planting?!?!?!

  2. Summer is on its way! I daren't think how much I've spent but then compared to most hobbies it's pretty cheap with so many benefits.

  3. I bet the swifts are wearing extra feathers as it is so cold.

  4. I've been hearing them for a while now but can't catch a glimpse. They're tantalising me!
